Dr. Alex Duarte

O.D., Ph.D.
As a constantly ill teenager, Alex Duarte learned a valuable lesson...how to live your life, and not the life that the illness is making you live. And the lesson he learned as a child, has served him well as an adult. He began to study and uncover alternative methods of healing. Today, he is Dr. Alex Duarte and his mission is to educate others who wish to gain energy and strengthen their immune system the natural way.

Dr. Duarte received his B.S. Degree in Biology from California State Polytechnic University at Pomona. He then spent two years working as a Research Microbiologist for Aerojet Medical and Biological Systems in Rosemead. After that he obtained a California Teaching Credential and instructed science students in Biology and Chemistry. Because of his interest in students with visual handicaps he spent four more years at the Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton, where he received his Doctor of Optometry Degree with emphasis on Low Vision. Dr. Duarte also earned a Ph.D Degree in Nutrition from Donsbach University in Huntington Beach, California and is on the Board of Editors for the Journal of Applied Nutrition.

Dr. Duarte writes for several newsletters and has appeared on numerous radio and TV programs spreading the word on how to achieve wellness through nutrition. He also has the distinction of being a nutritionist for several Olympic champions.
