Rob Martin

Rob Martin, broadcast journalist, has for decades been at the forefront of the nutraceutical/life extension movement. As a producer, writer and talk radio host, he has created and/or produced thousands of hours of radio, TV and video programs focused on integrative health. He has worked closely with many thought-leaders in the field of complementary-alternative medicine.

In the area of product development, Mr. Martin has developed leading edge nutraceutical formulations for medical practices, natural pharmacies, and national nutritional supplement companies.

In 1984, Mr. Martin created "The Life Extension Show" with Dr. Jeffrey Fisher on WOR Radio, the first medical-nutritional radio talk show in New York. He was instrumental in creating the nationally distributed interactive video, "How to Win at Life Extension," hosted by Dr. Jeffrey Fisher.

From 1985-87, as V.P. / Medical Communications of Dallas based United Sciences of America (USA, Inc.), Mr. Martin assembled prestigious medical and scientific advisory boards (including two Nobel laureates) and produced a series of widely distributed company video programs. During this time, Mr. Martin also hosted a wide ranging talk radio show on KTNS Radio, the ABC affiliate in Dallas.

As a media consultant in the late eighties and early nineties, Mr. Martin developed communications campaigns for numerous medical doctors including bringing about the internationally distributed video "Recovering the Soul" presented by Dr. Larry Dossey, the renowned physician/author/philosopher. This project was produced by Alvin H Perlmutter, the executive producer of the landmark Bill Moyers / PBS-TV series, "The Power of Myth" with Joseph Campbell.

In 1994, he joined Roger Ailes (Fox News, Chairman & CEO), at America's Talking/CNBC as a producer on "Alive & Wellness," the first and only daily national TV show devoted entirely to alternative health. Mr. Martin also worked directly with Mr. Ailes as a producer on his America's Talking/CNBC show, "Straight Forward with Roger Ailes."

In the print media, Mr. Martin was integral to the development of Dr. Larry Dossey's New York Times bestseller, "Healing Words." He has also worked with bestselling "Life Extension" authors Durk Pearson and Sandy Shaw, and with Mitchell L. Gaynor, MD, the author of "Dr. Gaynor's Cancer Prevention Program."

Since 1997, Mr. Martin has produced, written and co-hosted thousands of hours of daily live and pre-recorded health talk radio programs with Richard Walker, M.D. and many other leading nutrition and longevity experts.

Earlier credits include producing talk radio legend Barry Farber's WMCA talk radio show. Mr. Martin was a frequent guest panelist and ultimately, a guest host. He was also a programming consultant to Mr. Farber's nationally syndicated television program. Mr. Martin started his career in the music industry working for Mike Appel, Bruce Springsteen's legendary manager/producer.
